Fun on the run

Kids these days are distracted by so many gaming consoles and gadgets. They are so absorbed with the make-believe world of computers that they fail to create their own adventures outdoors – no more spirited habulan  with touch-taya or robber-police and no more carefree moments riding the swing or the see-saw. It was thus a pretty exciting experience to have served as a museum guide to media people and to the executives of Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) for the Hands On Schools-Galing Mo Kid! and Kultura Kids Programs. I was even assigned to tour Mark Watkinson, together with my classmate John Vicent Reyes. Mr. Watkinson is the president and CEO of HSBC. A minute with someone like him -a leader in his field- is something I cannot imagine will happen to me. He was very gracious and really made us feel comfortable. He even asked questions and he listened intently to the things we were telling him. (Read More)
